We’re looking for a volunteer match commentator to bring our games to fans watching in Bridgend, across Wales and beyond. This is a voluntary role with an immediate start for the right person.

What we’re looking for

Skills

• A clear, energetic voice that can hold attention for 90+ minutes.
• Quick, accurate description of live play, staying calm when things move fast or go wrong.
• Good storytelling, capturing the big moments as they happen.

Knowledge

• A solid grasp of football tactics, rules and terminology.
• Familiarity with the Cymru Premier and Penybont’s squad and recent form.
• A willingness to prepare before every match: team news, stats and talking points.

Attributes

• A real passion for Welsh football and for Penybont
• Fair, professional and respectful to all teams and officials, while still bringing warmth and humour
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player with the production crew

A bonus

• Welsh-language or bilingual commentary or integrating the Welsh into the commentary
• Previous commentary, radio, podcast or broadcasting experience (not essential)

How to apply

No experience? No problem. If you have the voice, the knowledge and the love of the game, we want to hear from you.

Email Opportunities@PenybontFC.Cymru and tell us why you’d be a great fit for the role. If you can, include a short voice sample of you commentating on any match clip.
